Juventus’ Primavera continued their excellent start to the season, beating Trapani 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Vinovo.

Nicolò Pozzebon, almost finding the opener himself in the sixth minute, set up Andrea Favilli three minutes later to put the Bianconeri in front.

The hosts controlled proceedings for the remainder of the first-half, creating several chances to double their lead, but would have to wait until two minutes after the break for a second goal and once again it was the impressive Favilli who was at hand to fire in from a corner.

The striker completed his hat-trick on the hour-mark, capping off a fine personal performance, before Pozzebon added a fourth with five minutes remaining to secure all three points for Fabio Grosso’s men.

Speaking after the final whistle, Grosso said: “We impose our game well, we’re brave and have great quality within our ranks. With the right attitude, we get the job done, as we’ve demonstrated today. There are always things to improve on, but the start to the season has been extremely pleasing.”

Turning his attentions to Wednesday’s UEFA Youth Cup tie against Sevilla, the Primavera coach commented: “It will be a difficult match, we’ve a few players unavailable, but we’re a good team and keen to do well.”
