Ally Perry has officially signed on in black and white, joining Juventus Women on a long-term deal until 2028.
The 22-year-old American is over the moon at having joined the Bianconere – her first club outside her native United States – and is raring to go. I can't even describe the feeling of wearing this iconic jersey. I'm extremely honoured to even be in this position.
Here are her very first words as a Juventus player:
NEW CHALLENGE
“The main reason I signed for Juventus was to test myself in this new environment. I see a lot of growth in this opportunity for me. I'm extremely uncomfortable, but that's how I know that I will grow. This is a really big challenge and next step for me that I'm excited to try and navigate.
“The speed of play is something that I'm going to have to learn how to get used to, but I already know that. Just going into this chapter knowing it's a little different here, the style of play and how different it is both tactically and technically, is something that I am looking forward to transitioning into.
WARM WELCOME
“Obviously my goal is to win, but for now, I just want to get to know everyone on the team. I think it's great that there's a lot of different cultures on the team, and I am sure I will learn a lot from my other teammates.
“I must say, the facilities here are beautiful, while I couldn't have asked for a better welcome from the team. It's been a super easy transition, and everyone's been nothing but nice to me, and so helpful. It's been really nice.
QUALITIES
“My preferred position is number 10. I'm very crafty on the ball, and I've been told I play more European-type football. I like pretty football in the middle of the park, playing out the midfield, and being quick, both on and off the ball, and I feel like I can bring those great qualities to Juventus.
“I can't wait to play my first match and see everyone in the stadium!”
