Juventus midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini celebrates his 28th birthday today.
Since joining the club from Cesena in August 2011, Giaccherini’s versatility and boundless energy have enabled him to cement his place as a crucial member of Antonio Conte’s squad.
After last season’s consistent displays earned him a call-up to Cesare Prandelli’s European Championship squad, the Tuscan winger has picked upwhere he left off this campaign, producing invaluable performances whenever called upon.
And if Juventus are to clinch the club’s 31st Scudetto this afternoon against Palermo, it’s in no part down to the contribution of Giaccherini, whose last-gasp goal on March 10 saw off the challenge of Catania and sparked the beginning of a resounding seven-game winning run.
