Today, 19 August, is a busy one with regards to celebrations as Juventus.com remembers a mixture of birthdays, debuts and first goals.

Sergio Brio and Cesare Prandelli, team-mates who were instrumental during the Bianconeri’s trophy-laden period in the early 1980s, turn 58 and 57 respectively.

Lecce-born Brio spent 12 years at the heart of the Juventus defence whilst Prandelli, who was recently appointed manager of Turkish side Galatasaray, played 89 times for the Bianconeri during a six-year spell.

Fabrizio Tencone, who has been at Juventus since 1992, also celebrates his 51st birthday today. The club doctor initially joined the Old Lady to work within the youth setup.

Birthdays aside, two players from the current squad are also celebrating milestones for very different reasons.

Claudio Marchisio, a leading light during the Bianconeri’s last three Scudetto triumphs, debuted for the club during the 2006/07 season. The Turin-born midfielder had entered the field of play as a substitute during a 3-0 victory over Martina Franca in the Coppa Italia.

19 August is also a special day for Leonardo Bonucci. The Italian international notched his first goal for the Bianconeri during the Europa League playoff round against Sturm Graz. The strike helped Juventus to overturn their Austrian counterparts 2-1 at the start of the 2010/2011 season.
