Juventus president Andrea Agnelli and his Torino counterpart Urbano Cairo have confirmed that both sides will play Sunday’s Derby della Mole with the ‘Torino Capitale Europa dello Sport’ (Turin European Capital of Sport) logo emblazoned on their shirts.
The announcement was made during this morning’s unveiling of the various activities and initiatives in store for Turin 2015.
“Juventus always play to win,” stated Agnelli when commenting on the upcoming inter-city derby during a speech which also touched on supporter behaviour.
“Violence and racism need to be eliminated from stadia, not the banter and irony which are the soul of this sport,” he continued before recalling former Inter vice president Peppino Prisco as “a character whose irony is missed in the game”.
Before ending their visit, Agnelli and Cairo handed over the shirts of Andrea Pirlo, Carlos Tevez, Fabio Quagliarella and Kamil Glik to state secretary Graziano Delrio and Turin mayor Piero Fassino.
