Alessio Tacchinardi’s career in the black and white jersey spanned over a decade. By the time he left the club in 2007, the Lombardian had certainly made his mark.
Although his influence on the pitch was temporary, the defensive midfielder’s legacy will always be permanent. With over 400 appearances and 15 titles won during his 13 year spell at the club, Tacchinardi was rightly inducted as one of the 50 Juventus legends to adorn the new stadium.
As well as carrying out his usual defensive duties, Tacchinardi had a flair for long shots and in the process scored many spectacular goals for the Bianconeri. He was instrumental in six Scudetto triumphs, became Champions League winner in only his second season in Turin and also represented the Italian national side on 13 occasions.
Everyone at Juventus Football club wishes Alessio many happy returns on his special day.
