Juventus club captain Gigi Buffon is celebrating his 37th birthday today.
An inspirational figure both on and off the pitch since joining the club 14 years ago, the shotstopper has been instrumental in the Old Lady’s monumental success and to this day has won seven Scudetto titles and four Super Cups.
A true Bianconeri symbol, Buffon recently tied his future down to the black and white stripes for the next two-and-a-half seasons and is also a World Cup winner with the Azzurri following a memorable tournament back in 2006.
Ever the consummate professional, it would only be right that Buffon is spending his birthday by gearing up for this evening’s Coppa Italia quarter-final clash with former side Parma at the Tardini alongside his team-mates.
