Three Juventus players are flying the flag for Serie A in the hunt for a place in this year’s UEFA.com users’ Team of the Year.

Following a rigorous selection process overseen by the website’s writers, Bianconeri trio Gigi Buffon, Paul Pogba and Carlos Tevez have made it through to the final 40 candidates.

Their inclusion, based on individual performances for club and country in 2014, sees them join an illustrious list of footballing talent derived from 14 different teams competing in seven major European leagues.

Fans across the globe can now register their votes by selecting their top starting line-up from the 40-man shortlist, comprised of four goalkeepers, 12 defenders, 12 midfielders and 12 strikers.

Voting will remain open until 13.00 CET on Tuesday 6 January 2014, with the official Team of the Year to be revealed three days later on UEFA.com and included in Champions Matchday, UEFA Champions League’s official magazine.
