Juventus Football Club and Interpol, the largest police organisation in the world, have joined forces to fight against crime.

The Turn Back Crime initiative aims to raise public awareness regarding the dangers and hidden effects of organised crime, the issues affecting people’s daily lives and how appropriate action can be taken.

Pledging their support in a video message are Gianluigi Buffon, Patrice Evra, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Giorgio Chiellini, who each rally members of the public to show how they too can help fight against organised criminal activity.

The Turn Back Crime campaign itself looks to create a dialogue between the law and public as well as a relationship of trust to help quell fears over crime and ensure people feel safe.

Roraima A. Andriani, Executive Director of Turn Back Crime, had this to say on the new partnership: “We are delighted to team up with Juventus and gain their support in our joint effort to turn back crime through our campaign to create awareness, generate engagement and encourage action.

“The backing from Juventus again underlines the message that, together, we won’t give criminals a sporting chance.”

Illegal gambling is another area in which Juventus are helping Interpol raise awareness. It may not be common knowledge to football fans but if they gamble through illegal betting streams, the money could inadvertently go towards financing a whole host of serious crimes including human trafficking.

The Bianconeri join Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen, international film stars and Turn Back Crime ambassadors Shah Rukh Khan and Jackie Chan, footballer Lionel Messi and the Ducati team in backing the initiative.

Regardless of which team you support, join the ongoing fight today and together we can Turn Back Crime.
