Thirty-two years ago, six Juventus players inspired Italy to World Cup glory by beating Germany 3-1 on a magical night at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu.

Forming the spine of the starting XI that led the Azzurri to their third ever Jules Rimet trophy were Bianconeri Dino Zoff, Claudio Gentile, Antonio Cabrini, Gaetano Scirea, Marco Tardelli and Paolo Rossi.

Rossi, whose six goals earned him the tournament’s coveted golden boot award, put Enzo Bearzot's men in front on 59 minutes, before Tardelli sparked wild scenes of celebration when he finished a flowing move from the edge of the box ten minutes later.
