We remember Edoardo Agnelli

24 July – in exactly 10 days' time – sees the 91st anniversary of the start of the longest partnership in football history: the Agnelli family and Juventus. A union created by Edoardo, when he became president of the club in 1923. A happy date in the diary which, as fate would have it, falls not long after a much more painful one: Edoardo's death, which occurred on 14 July 1935. A tragic aeroplane crash claimed the life of the president when he was just 43. He was in charge when Juventus won five titles in a row and made the Bianconeri the greatest and most popular team in Italy. We all remember him today, on the 79th anniversary of his death.
