As the Allievi Regionali boarded the coach for Val d’Aosta this morning, the location for their pre-season training, a fresh face was in among the ranks.

Yoshiatsu Oiji, a young talent from J League 1 outfit FC Tokyo, is currently undertaking an exchange programme between his hometown side and the Old Lady.

Born in 1998, the youngster initially joined up with Davide Cei’s Allievi regionali side on 11 August and will remain with the team for the duration of their first week in Chatillon before returning home at the end of the month.

Juventus and the Japanese club, managed by ex-Messina, Verona and Torino manager Massimo Ficcadenti, first came in to contact when the inaugural J-Lounge opened in the country’s capital in March of this year.

During the meet-up, Ficcadenti’s side expressed an interest in allowing the youngster to experience Italian football at first hand - a request Juventus were glad to take up.

Once his invaluable experience within the Bianconeri youth setup comes to an end, Yoshiatsu will return to his parent club on 25 August.
