Having scored for the sixth time this campaign, helping his side to back-to-back league wins for the first time in the process, Juventus striker Paulo Dybala had plenty of reasons to be positive in the aftermath of this afternoon’s 3-1 victory over Empoli.

Speaking to Sky cameras from the Stadio Carlo Castellani, he began: “We got exactly what we wanted today, this is an important three points for us. We’re especially pleased with the way we reacted to falling behind early on and for fighting our way back into the match.”

As team-mate Patrice Evra had done before him, La Joya was also quick to direct attentions away from his late strike and instead focused on the performance and attitude of his team as a whole.

“Overall, I’m happy that we won today. Scoring is always nice of course but now we need to carry on in the same way in the games ahead. I’m always delighted to contribute to the team and collectively it’s up to us to put what the manager tells us into practice.

“Whether starting from the bench or not, as a squad we all know the importance of being ready and focused should we be called upon.”

Moving on to challenges ahead, the Argentine is in no doubt as to Juve’s potential this season, given the fighting spirit shown in Tuscany this afternoon to come back from a goal down, not to mention the overall quality of the Bianconeri’s squad.

He concluded: “Naturally, we believe that we’re the strongest team in the league so the onus is on us to make sure we prove that on the pitch.

“(Climbing the table) of course won’t be easy given how many competitive sides there are at the top at the moment but now we’ve won two in a row and we need to keep up that positivity going forward.

“Our meeting with Milan in two weeks will be the perfect opportunity for us to take our season to the next level.”
