Juventus Football Club can announce that Claudio Rigo has been named as the new Club Doctor, with his appointment taking effect from the 2016/17 campaign onwards.

Born in 1954 and hailing from the Venice region of Italy, Rigo specialises in sports medicine, orthopedics and legal medicine and has worked in the world of football since 1982, representing Padova, Venezia, Atalanta, Sampdoria, Udinese and Sassuolo throughout his noteworthy career to date.

The role of Head of Medical Staff, previously occupied by Fabrizio Tencone, will no longer figure within the club’s structure, which can now count on a state-of-the-art medical facility, J-Medical, that was opened just a few weeks ago.

All associated with Juventus Football Club would like to place on record their thanks for the professionalism and expertise shown by Fabrizio Tencone, Andrea Causarano and Luca Stefanini, who leave the club after many trophy-laden seasons.
