If you were following Juventus’ social media profiles over the last year, or perhaps longer, you will have noticed that it has been an eventful 12 months for the Bianconeri!

Before the New Year gets underway, let’s re-live 12 of the main moments as told via the club’s social accounts.

1) Black and White and More

Monday 16 January was a momentous day in the history and especially the future of Juventus. It was, of course, the moment in which the Bianconeri club unveiled its new logo and visual identity.

Fittingly, this bold step into the future was announced in striking fashion:

The new logo wouldn't come into full effect until 1 July 2017, but that didn't stop supporters sending in proof of their excitement about the news. By responding to the call to action with the hashtag #2beJUVENTUS, fans across the world shared some real gems with us (a special shout out to The International Juventus Academy in Brazil!)

Black and White and More was not only a topic of worldwide conversation, it was quickly becoming a source of inspiration in the fields of creative arts and sport.

Juventus produced a series of videos called Crafting to show how a collection of contemporary artists interpreted the club's new visual identity in their own artforms.

2) #TenderMario

There are few footballers as tough as Mario Mandzukic out on the pitch, but might Mario have a soft centre? We were very interested to find out...

In an unusual experiment, the bruising Croatian striker was shown a series of cute images in a bid to bring out a glimpse of empathy from the big man:

Juventus’ experiment had failed miserably, but could Bianconeri fans succeed? Using the hashtag #TenderMario, they had a chance to send the sweetest images to see if they could finally soften Mario up:

Still no luck! Surely Valentine’s Day could bring better results?

Nope! We give up, Mario!

3) #ItsTime

It’s the Champions League 2016/17 and Juventus are preparing for a crunch quarter-final tie against Barcelona. #ItsTime

This is more than just a hashtag. The club launches a landing page, where supporters can take a selfie and virtually paint their face with the iconic black and white stripes ahead of the big match.

Following a momentous 3-0 victory over Barcelona, #ItsTime would ultimately accompany the Bianconeri all the way to the final in Cardiff:

Following the reverse to Real Madrid, the campaign culminated in #ItsTime to Be Proud:

4) #LE6END & #WeWonAgain

2016/17 was the season of legend, or rather **#LE6END**: this was the hashtag launched to commemorate the Bianconeri’s six straight Scudetto titles.

As the video underlines, an awful lot can happen in six years, as Juventus' legendary achievements on the pitch run parallel to the birth and growing up of a child, growing in confidence - just like the club - every step of the way.

Let’s not forget either that a lot of players contributed to the cause... 69 to be precise!

With a special mention to the six men who had won six Scudetti in a row:

Fans were invited to send shots of their celebrations on social media, using the #LE6END hashtag:

...and they even had a chance to create their own #LE6END playlist on Spotify!

That’s not all. There was also a Coppa Italia triumph to celebrate: the third in as many seasons, leading to a hashtag that spelled out what all fans felt at full-time in Rome: #WeWonAgain

On Juventus’ social media, you were taken right into the thick of the celebrations inside the changing rooms!

When in Rome, do as the Bianconeri do!

5) Summer signings

Announcing a new multi-million euro signing is always exciting for supporters and Juventus raised anticipation levels to new heights when announcing Douglas Costa’s arrival in July:*
*

Thanks to a series of live videos shared off the club’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts, fans were able to watch the Brazilian forward make his very first footsteps in Turin, from the moment he landed at Torino Caselle airport.

And how about catching the first glimpse of a player in his first Juventus training session… in the United States! That’s what fans were treated to in the case of Federico Bernardeschi!

6) JuventUS Tour

Juventus’ summer tour of the United States was greeted with huge enthusiasm, all the way from the tens of thousands of fans who cheered on the Bianconeri from the stands, to the millions back home following events on social media.

No sooner had the Bianconeri touched down in New York, it was time to explore the Big Apple alongside the football icon that is Andrea Pirlo!

If you were in New York at the time, you may also have spotted Juventus Legend duo, David Trezeguet and Edgar Davids, strutting their stuff:

In Miami, meanwhile, there was a special meeting between mascots! We’d say that Jay and T.D. got on pretty well!

All in all, the tour had been a resounding success!

7) Juventus Women

As of July 2017, there has been a new team in town!

Juventus Women burst on to the scene with a comprehensive Coppa Italia victory over Torino and they have not looked back since, winning every league and cup match.

Thanks to the live stream service available on **Juventus Pass**, the dedicated Juventus Women Twitter page, and not to mention a series of Instagram Stories, supporters have not missed a moment of the Bianconere’s successful start to their historic debut season.

Completely professional and focused on the field, there was fun to be had off it at the official team photo shoot!

And supporters have been able to get to know Rita Guarino’s girls even better through the **#HimAndHer** series, in which members of Juventus Women and Massimiliano Allegri's first team interview one another:

8) A new season begins!

On 19 August, the Bianconeri were back home for the new Serie A season at Allianz Stadium.

From the moment they kicked off the defence of their Serie A title with a 3-0 home win over Cagliari, there has never been a dull moment for the Bianconeri, with supporters able to follow every match of every competition live on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Instagram Stories with game highlights and full match re-runs available later on **Juventus Pass**.

So far, it has also been a season of great goals; so great in fact that we have let fans decide their favourites!

Juventus Women forward, Barbara Bonansea, was the very first #GoalOfTheMonth winner with this wonder-strike:

Since then, Federico Bernardeschi and Mattia De Sciglio have picked up the awards for rasping drives in October and November respectively.

Looking at matters in Europe, the Champions League draw is always an exciting time. Who could the Bianconeri be paired up against in the group stage? Head to our slot machine to find out!

Juve subsequently qualified from Group D to reach the last 16 draw, where it was confirmed they would face Tottenham Hotspur, with a trip to that iconic English ground...

9) Juventus VR

Imagine celebrating the Scudetto with players on the Allianz Stadium pitch, or rubbing shoulders with your football stars behind the scenes, or even experiencing the Black and White and More launch event in Milan?

The club launched **Juventus VR** on 12 October in order to make all of this possible for Bianconeri fans across the world. Geographical boundaries are no longer going to prevent you from getting up close to the world of Juventus, if you download the app which is periodically updated to expand the number of scenarios and locations accessible to supporters.

10) Juve in Asia

Thanks to increasing followers on Juventus' Weibo and WeChat profiles, the Bianconeri are in closer contact than ever before with fans in East Asia.

Furthermore, in July the club signed a three-year sponsorship with Japanese company, Cygames: a key player in the entertainment sector.

Ties with the continent increased further on 27 November, when Juventus VR and a brand new version of Juventus App were launched in China.

Juventus Legends president, David Trezeguet, led the event in Shanghai:

11) #Juve120

On 1 November, Juventus celebrated her 120th birthday. For anyone visiting Juventus.com or the Bianconeri social accounts that day, it was an experience to behold. For every hour, the club’s profile picture on Twitter and Facebook was updated, starting off with the very first logo adopted in 1897 right through to the club's current visual identity.

Fans were invited to select their dream Bianconeri starting eleven, choosing players from all 12 decades. Here were the final results:

Meanwhile, Juventus TV were running their own poll: what was the best goal ever scored in the history of the club? Alessandro Del Piero’s worldie against Fiorentina!

Last, but certainly not least, this was also an opportunity for supporters to simply wish Juventus a happy birthday!

12) #BlackAndWhiteXmas

‘Tis the season to be jolly! The Bianconeri have hung up the tinsel, decorated the tree and are sat around the Christmas Dinner table, waiting expectantly for the final guests to arrive!

Who’s missing? One after the next, David Trezeguet, Jay, Gianluigi Buffon and a number of legends and VIP guests present themselves at the door to join the party!

And all’s well that ends well as the countdown culminates in a special get-together with the fans. The Juventus family is complete!

It goes without saying, but Christmas really wouldn’t be the same without Jay. The amiable mascot takes centre-stage in his latest festive-themed cartoon, ensuring it’s a thoroughly unforgettable Christmas for young Juventino, Matteo.

Roll on 2018!

2017 never stood still, but the New Year is set to be just as eventful! Therefore, make sure you don't miss any of the action by following the Bianconeri on social media!
