2017 was a year of evolution for* La Vecchia Signora. *

Some things stayed the same, like winning the Scudetto and Coppa Italia, but many things changed. One of the biggest changes was the introduction of Juventus Women.

Announced over the summer, the Juventus Women were introduced at an August press conference and hit the ground running.

Under the watchful eye of former Italy National Team striker Rita Guarino, the Juventus Women quickly proved that they belonged.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

After a training camp in the Aosta Valley, the Bianconere played their first competitive match on August 27th, easily dispatching local side Torino in the Coppa Italia and they never looked back.

In the inaugural Serie A match, the Juventus Women beat Atalanta 3-0 away, sending a message to the league that they meant business.

Up next was the very first home match in front of a packed Ale&Ricky Pitch in Vinovo.

The women would rise to the occasion beating Res Roma 4-0 in another amazing show of skill from Guarino's side.

The wins would just keep coming for the Juventus Women as they headed into December a perfect 6-0-0 in the league.

However, there was still something to prove and the opportunity would come with a road match against unbeaten Brescia and home match against defending champion Fiorentina to come in a week's span.

DECEMBER TO REMEMBER

The women would leave no doubt.

A comprehensive 4-0 win away to Brescia that saw the Women take top spot in Serie A was earned just one day after the men won 1-0 at Napoli and then the women followed that up with a brilliant performance at home defeating Fiorentina 2-0 with a goal from Martina Rosucci worthy of winning any match.

The Juventus Women enter the new year tops in Serie A by three points over Brescia while five points ahead of Tavagnacco in third place meaning UEFA Women's Champions League qualification is certainly within sight, though the Serie A title will certainly be the aim.

The final 16 of Coppa Italia has been achived as well with many huge games in the second half of the season to come.

Let's all enjoy the ride!
