Benedikt Howedes spoke of his delight after making his Juventus debut in the 3-0 win over Crotone at Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.
"I’m really happy to be back playing after my injury," explained the German defender. "I’m delighted to have made my Juventus debut and to have helped the team get the three points, which was the most important thing tonight."
There was a worrying moment during the game when Howedes took a blow to the face, but the Juve No.21 was quick to dispel any injury fears.
"My nose isn’t broken," he revealed. "Just after it happened it felt like something more, but it’s just a little cut. All it needed was a big plaster!"
Finally, the German looked ahead to Friday’s trip to Napoli.
"It’s going to be an intense game at the home of the leaders," he said. "They’re in great form, but we’re good enough to beat them. We need to have belief and give everything we have."
