Monday was a day of rest for the majority of Juventus Women's squad, only just back from their training camp in Valle d’Aosta.

Rita Guarino’s side resume preparations for their inaugural season on Tuesday at the Sisport Centre in Turin.

However, there would be routine check-ups for the team’s Under 19 internationals who were involved in the recently concluded European Championships in Northern Ireland.

Martina Lenzini (born in 1998; defender); Arianna Caruso (1999; forward); Vanessa Panzeri (2000; defender); Sofia Cantore (1999; winger) and Benedetta Glionna (1999; winger) all paid visits to J|Medical, the Bianconeri’s state-of-the-art health centre, situated at Allianz Stadium.

In the meantime, Juventus Women’s forward options have been bolstered by the signing of attacking midfielder Katie Rood from Glenfield Rovers. The dual passport-holder (UK and New Zealand) had been trialling with Guarino’s side in recent days.

In short, this was another eventful day for Juve’s first official women’s team, as they close in on their maiden match of 2017/18, namely Sunday’s Coppa Italia first round, first-leg outing against Torino Calcio Femminile (kick-off at 16.30 CEST).
