Alex Sandro: “It's all down to hard graft”

It's been quite a week for Alex Sandro. After penning a new deal on Thursday, he produced a magnificent display tonight against Roma. The Brazilian was alert at the back, dangerous going forward and denied a goal only by an in-form Robin Olsen.

“Yeah, he pulled off some great saves today – credit to him for that,” the Brazilian admitted.

“We were up against an excellent team and we managed to get the job done. It's not easy to keep winning game after game but we have the mentality needed to do it.

“The secret of our success is hard graft: we strive to improve every day. That means we have the right spirit.”
