Juventus VR shortlisted for The Sports Technology Awards

Away from the pitch, Juventus will be vying for The Sports Technology Award for the innovative **Juventus VR** app that aims to bring all Bianconeri fans closer to the club in a way never before imagined. The award, which was established in 2014, highlights the most innovative technology in the world of sport, from performance monitoring to TV broadcasting to digital content. Out of the 19 categories to be recognised, Juventus VR has been shortlisted for “Best App”.

More than 30 countries and over 50 sports from five continents are taken into consideration by The Sports Technology Awards, and through tough competition, the Juve app has made the shortlist.

Juventus VR promises to take the user on a journey like no other, as they experience the world of Juventus in 360°. Soaking up the atmosphere of the Allianz Stadium, going into the Juventus locker room and going behind the scenes at training in Vinovo.

Not only that but in a few days, you will be able to “Become Juve’s New Signing”, as you trial with the 35-time Scudetto winners under the watchful eye of Massimiliano Allegri.

Then, it’s on to meeting President Andrea Agnelli and CEO Giuseppe Marotta where you will sign your Juventus contract before being shown around by Juventus Legend David Trezeguet. Finally, you'll then live the dream of all Bianconeri fans and make your debut at the Allianz Stadium with some friendly encouragement from Vice President Pavel Nedved.

If that wasn’t enough, even more new content will be arriving shortly in the form of a four-part series entitled, “Match Day Stadium Experience”. A new episode will debut every two weeks, which will be set between various locations outside the stadium, such as the Juventus Store and Juventus Museum, before entering the exclusive areas of the Allianz Stadium to meet Bianconeri icons past and present.

Before The Sports Technology Awards get underway on 3 May in London, Juventus VR has already received an honourable mention for VR apps at the 2018 Red Card Awards in China in the Best Use of Technology category.
