Juventus Women are pleased to announce the signing of England forward, Lianne Sanderson.

The 30-year-old brings a wealth of international experience, having accumulated 50 caps for her country during a career that has seen her play in England, Spain, the United States and now Italy.

Born in Lewisham, Sanderson started her career with Arsenal Women. Having risen through the youth ranks, she broke into the first team in 2003 and would go on to collect a host of silverware: five consecutive FA Women’s Premier League titles, four FA Women’s Cups, two FA Women’s Premier League Cups and one UEFA Women’s Cup.

After finishing the club’s top scorer for two seasons in a row, Sanderson swapped North for South London in 2008 with a move to Chelsea Women, where she continued her strong goalscoring form.

Since 2010, the England international – who finished runner-up at the 2009 UEFA Women’s Championship – has mostly plied her trade in the United States, representing Philadelphia Independence, D.C. United Women, Boston Breakers, Portland Thorns, Orlando Pride and, most recently, Western New York Flash, with whom she won the National Women’s Soccer League title in 2016. Sanderson’s career also took her to Spanish club, Espanyol, during the 2011/12 season.

As she embarks on a new journey in Italy, everyone at Juventus Women would like to extend a very warm welcome to Lianne and a successful season ahead.
