"Ideas that deserve to be spread". This is the watchword of TED, an American organisation that since the 90s has been organising multidisciplinary conferences ("TED Talks") to stimulate dialogue, as well as personal and collective growth, which, in recent years has become a real global phenomenon.

TED is currently promoting the TEDx program, which consists of a series of events all over the world, under a licence granted by TED. Today in Turin the TEDxTorinoSalon event was hosted at WINS (World International School of Turin) in JVillage and amongst the speakers was Gianluca Pessotto, former Juventus defender and current team manager of the Primavera.

Game Over / Learn Over was the name of the talk, which had as its main theme the ability to stand up in moments of failure, both in the world of sport, as well as in life and to be able to exploit these situations as opportunities for growth and rebirth.

"I have always had a bad relationship with defeat, with mistakes, - explains Gianluca Pessotto – with jealously quite a lot, even as a child when I played marbles with friends on the beach. However, in sport as in life, difficult moments happen and it's how you face them that makes the difference. "

"Therefore - he adds - I think it is very important to focus on mistakes and not on people. We give the boys here the opportunity to make mistakes by helping them find solutions and not judging them as people. "

Together with Pessotto, former Olympic canoeist (one gold, two silvers and two Olympic bronzes, five world titles and nine European) and politician, Josefa Idem and former professional basketball player and quad biker, Andrea De Beni exchanged and compared their stories of failure and personal growth for all the guests present at the event.

The participation of Juventus at TEDx confirms the club's strong will to value a series of initiatives aimed at education, training and growth, not only on the pitch.
