“I want to thank Juve for waiting for me these six years. I am so happy - and sorry if I’m very emotional.” That was Leonardo Spinazzola, with a beaming smile at the beginning of the season. He came back to the club where he spent his youth and had to recover from a long-term injury before savouring his moment on the field and fulfilling a childhood dream: playing for and winning his first Scudetto with the Bianconeri.
It must have been like going through months of rehearsals before the big show. Day after day, session after session with his first-team debut on the horizon.
