Gama: "A victory that gives us serenity."

The excitement of playing in a full Allianz Stadium can play tricks, but Sara Gama has too much experience to let herself be frightened by the crowded stands. And like the good captain she is, she also transmitted confidence to her companions: "When I entered onto the field I tried to look more at the pitch than the stands,” she explains after the match against Fiorentina.

“Because with so many people at the stadium the hardest thing is to stay focused. We had two weeks, to think about it, since we were given the news that we would play at the Stadium, and so, when I entered, I enjoyed the moment and then I thought about the game.

“We got an important victory that gives us more serenity, but now we already have another match on Wednesday and playing so soon after a day like today will not be easy so we will have to stay focused. Of this day, I will bring with me the emotion of my companions, the public and ... the victory.”
