On this day in 2010, Andrea Agnelli commenced his presidency.

Once again (it had already happened last year) this day in the calendar reserves an important coincidence: in fact, on the day of the Scudetto celebration, scheduled at the Allianz Stadium tonight after Juve-Atalanta, the ninth anniversary of Andrea Agnelli’s Presidency will also be celebrated.

It’s a Presidency which began on 19 May 2010, and it’s one which will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most extraordinary in the entire Juventus era. Andrea Agnelli took over the reins of Juventus at a difficult time for the club, where they aspired to return to where they had always been: on the summit.

And it was achieved, as the party for the eighth consecutive Scudetto tonight confirms, (together with the four Coppa Italias, and the same number of Italian Supercups –  the last of which lifted to the sky a few months ago in Jeddah) and tells the story of a Juve who returned to be the team to beat on the pitch.

Another reference model of his success outside of the first team: is the inauguration of the Allianz Stadium, the new Corporate Headquarters and the new JTC Continassa, and the courage he had to present to the world, in 2017, a new logo.

This is what has happened in the recent past, but what matters most is that, as the President often reminds us, Juventus aspires to always be at the forefront and to look in one direction only: the future.
