Two years have passed since 3 June 2017, in which an evening and experience of sport turned into a tragedy. Thousands of Juventus fans had gathered in front of the giant screens in Piazza San Carlo in Turin to watch the Champions League final between Juventus and Real Madrid, but sadly following the incidents of what happened, both Erika Pioletti and Marisa Amato lost their lives after fighting for a long time to survive. To commemorate their memory, a ceremony was held this morning in Piazza San Carlo, in the presence of the Mayor of Turin, Chiara Appenino and representatives of the institutions (the prefect Claudio Palomba, the President of the City Council, Francesco Sicari, Colonel Francesco Rizzo and Commander Prov. Carabinieri), of the association, "Quelli di via Filadelfia", of the Juventus banner, and in which the relatives of Mrs. Amato also participated. During the ceremony a wreath of flowers was placed, as a symbol to never stop keeping alive the memory of both Erika and Maria, and as an even stronger embrace for their families.
