Only two Bianconeri were on duty for their respective national teams last night, and they were Cristiano Ronaldo and Merih Demiral. Both players put out an incredible display which saw them applauded by their individual fans.
For CR7, he took to the field for Portugal from the first minute, and he was simply unplayable. In his time on the field, Ronaldo scored a hat-trick: he opened the scoring in the seventh minute and grabbed his third and final goal in the 65th minute as Portugal swept aside Lithuania 6-0. His hat-trick was his ninth in the colours of the national team.
Meanwhile in Moldova, Demiral took to the field for Turkey and they also walked away with a victory. The centre-back may not have got onto the scorehseet in the 0-4 win, but he did make a crucial clearance off the line as he helped his nation qualify for the Euro 2020.
Tonight, two Bianconeri derbies will take place; Dybala, Danilo and Alex Sandro will come face to face in Argentina vs Brazil, while Pjanic’s Bosnia will host Bonucci and Bernardeschi. Also, in action is Bentancur and Cuadrado.
