12 November 2022
Tomorrow, Sunday 13 November, Juventus take on Lazio in the closing Serie A fixture of 2022. Five consecutive victories have pushed the Bianconeri into the top four and the coach explained that the aim is to continue to build the positive feeling in the squad in the match that kicks off at 20:45 CET at the Allianz Stadium.
CONCERNING THE OPPONENTS...
"I expect a difficult match against a strong Lazio side, which is doing excellently well. It's the last game of the year, we're coming off a positive run and we have to keep it up, knowing however that Lazio away have only conceded one goal.
"They are a difficult team to beat, Sarri knows how to organise his team well in defence. He also has a lot of skillful players. Maurizio is an important coach who won the league title with Juve and is doing a great job at Lazio.
"The other night in Verona we played against a team that had created several scoring chances against Milan and Roma, which runs hard and presses high, making you play long balls. The boys did well, but tomorrow is a completely different match. Lazio run at you and like to impose thieir game in your half."
CONCERNING THE SQUAD...
"Tomorrow morning, I will see if Locatelli and Cuadrado will be available and based on this I will make my choices. Vlahović won't be available. He did part of the training yesterday and today and his condition is such that he is not able to play. Chiesa though is available tomorrow.
"As for Di María, I'll have to decide how much time to give him. Tomorrow is dangerous because of the quality of opponents and it is even more so because it is the last game before a long stop. We are in a good form, we have to continue it."
MAKING THE MOST OF THE MOMENT
"The best thing we have seen in this period is the team spirit that we are regaining, then obviously there are things to improve.
"To bring home results and defend well, as we are doing, we need to pay even more attention. Then we need to improve our possession game, but the best thing is the team spirit that we are regaining. We are one game from the end of the first part of the season, so we have to do well against a complicated team."
