The October international break has come to an end, and the Juventus Women’s First Team kick November off with Serie A Women Matchday 4, for which Ternana are the visitors in Biella. Kick-off is fixed for Sunday afternoon at 15:00 CET.
Ahead of the game, Bianconere boss Massimiliano Canzi spoke.
THE INTERNATIONALS RETURNING
“All of the girls have come back in good condition, with the only exception being [Viola] Calligaris, who suffered a muscular problem and won’t be included in the squad for Ternana. Considering the number of players we had away with their respective countries, this is good news, because unforuntately during previous breaks we’ve had some injuries. We’re happy that most of the girls returned unscathed; they’re in good shape and have come back motivated.”
SIX GAMES IN 21 DAYS
“Of course, I want to see consistency in our performances. I have to say, though, that consistency has never been lacking, a couple of unfortunate results aside, but the performances have always been there. I want the team to keep playing at the level they’ve been at, and the results will come.”
THE PHYSICAL IMPACT
“We have won the most aerial duels this season? Modern football is going increasingly in that direction, so we have to address it. Our choices in recent months and in the building of the team are reflective of that. Fortunately, data doesn’t just show us that we’re this type of team, but it tells us a lot more too. We need to improve our position in the league table, but the statistics tell us we’re moving in the right direction, so we’re relaxed about it.”
