Following the late win away at Lazio on Serie A Women Matchday 3, Juventus Women's First Team coach Massimiliano Canzi and goalscorer Cristiana Girelli spoke.

MASSIMILIANO CANZI

"We came into this after some good performances but without the points to show for them. Over the course of a season there are tough periods, and we've started with one.

"The girls played well, and now we'll keep on working. If we hadn't scored, we would have taken a lot from the performance against a good, well-organised team like Lazio. They put us in difficulty and they had maximum points coming into today. But today it was important for us to pick up points.

"I'm happy that Girelli scored, because she deserved a goal. I'm happy for the whole squad because this wasn't easy."

CRISTIANA GIRELLI

"I missed scoring. I always try to give my all, even when I'm not scoring goals. I want to dedicate this goal to us; when you wear this shirt all that matters is winning, and we haven't been able to do that lately, so I hope that this can be a starting point for our Serie A season.

"I'm happy for the squad, it hasn't been an easy time and these three poitns were needed. It's a hugely important win. We came here off the back of a loss and a draw [in the league], knowing that today the only thing that mattered was winning, so we're happy to have done that ahead of the international break."
