GIOVANNI MARTUSCIELLO: “A GROUP THAT NEVER GIVES UP”

"We had an important physical decline, and against a strong team that dribble like Napoli, that was the thing that put us in difficulty,” declared technician Giovanni Martusciello at the end of the game. "At 3-0 we had a ‘full belly’ and we allowed Napoli to comeback. But what really strikes me about this group is the fact that they never give up, and that in moments of difficulty, it brings out something more.”

"We are working a lot,” he adds. “We have high quality players; we must direct the line of play better and we are working on this: we are doing it very well and we must continue in this direction.

“We must never lose the identity of a team. During the season we must take some from the whole group,” added Martusciello. “De Ligt? He comes from a team that defended differently, in a league that is not the Italian one. He also played well for an hour, then his condition was lacking a bit. But he is a player of the highest level.”

The coach then wrapped up his discussion by touching on Mr. Sarri: "He would have preferred to win 4-0 and not 4-3.”

GONZALO HIGUAIN: “IT WAS A ROLLERCOASTER”

"We started well, then their first two goals removed us a little bit out of the game," says the author Juventus’ second goal, Gonzalo Higuain. "They even drew, but we deserved the win. There is work to be done, it is an important success, the team gave everything and they were rewarded!

DANILO: “AN AMAZING GAME”

“I didn’t expect a game like this, you know? To score on my second touch… But, of course, we have been working in the week to do our best. Of course, I am so happy for the result and the goal. It was an amazing game, but for us, it isn’t easy because we scored three goals and we conceded three goals; that cannot happen. It’s the beginning of the season, you have to improve, and we know that. We are going to work a lot to improve and keep our goal safe.
