At the end of the match against Verona, Maurizio Sarri, Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Ramsey all commented on the 2-1 win against Hellas Verona. These are their words:

MAURIZIO SARRI

“It may be that the team was a bit mentally tired. Furthermore, by changing a lot - two midfielders out of three, the balance and mechanisms are lost, because we are still in a construction phase. We need to stay further back on defence, otherwise we risk get the ball late; we also had to be more on top of the defenders. The distances between were not the correct ones, but we came up against a team in good shape, which attacks, and against which it was not easy to overturn the result. It’s important to have taken the points, but we need to be better at the approach. Dybala had a very good match.”

CRISTIANO RONALDO

“It was a difficult game, but the important thing is that the team did well, we were losing and we recovered. After the Champions League we were tired, it’s normal after such an intense game like the one against Atletico, but we take three points and go ahead.”

AARON RAMSEY

“I’ve waited a long time for this moment, I’m really happy, both for the victory and for the goal. It was important after the Madrid game. Our opponents were very organised, we were good because it was not an easy match.”
